Since the Canadian Kaytranda is one of the best rnb/classic mixers at this moment (let's not forget that he produces his own stuff too) and Disclosure is the perfect electronic music duo from 2013, I couldn't wait to hear their collaboration. So when 'January' came out on Soundcloud I was thrilled. And yeah as I expected it would be, it's a pretty awesome edit.
Already saw Disclosure in July at a Belgian festival (Rock Werchter), their set lasted about an hour (too short though). But I can assure you, that was a hell of a party! Kaytranada on the other hand was in Brussels around May, but I missed that one unfortunately. Next show I'm definitely in.
Perfect timing by the way, almost New Year! Can't wait for 2014.
The fact that there's a collection coming out from Isabel Marant for H&M is already old news.. but I've got something sweet for you guys.
I've waited unpatiently for this moment.. so finally the Lookbook pictures and all the items of the collection just leaked! I already have a few favorites that got to be in my closet (what did u expect?). The pieces have a Native American kinda style with some aztec colors and prints. The aztec-printed pants from Isabel Marant who were very popular last year, come back with little updated in this collection.
This whole collection will be in 250 selected stores from November 14, so check it out!

Models with imperfection they also say, well I found him while I was randomly surfing on the internet earlier. Although his "imperfection" I think he's an excellent model with a lot of courage! He stands up for albinos and supports the instagram account "In my skin I win", which is about the beauty beyond what the world can see. Not only is he a model, he's also a dancer and an actor. The African American Shaun Ross already modeled for Alexander McQueen, Givenchy and he appeared at diffrent music videos from Katy Perry to Beyoncé. Soon he wil also be part of the short film "Tropico" from Lana Del Rey.

After the successful collaboration with H&M last year, Maison Martin Margiela is doing a "team up" with Converse!
They say each pair of Converse sneakers, created by Maison Martin Margiela is completely hand-painted (a little sneakpeak on the video below). But for now we have to stay a little more patient until September 11, between 7-10PM in New York City...

The Fall/Winter campaign from Eleven Paris is out! Love the video starring the popular teenage singer and fashion icon Sky Fereira and Lenny Kravitz the known American rocksinger. The French fashion label chose this two singers very conscious because they wanted to radiate a sort of edginess that's located in this Fall/Winter collection. Think a little bit of rock and roll, soul, leather jackets and dark colors.
Enjoying the last summer-ish days in September! Today I'm wearing comfortable printed shorts with a basic black t-shirt and heels. I totally love these heels that I recently bought at Éram in the last remaining sales (it was a 50% discount!!). Wanted such basic black ones for a long time, but couldn't find the perfect ones (or it was to expensive), and then me and my mum found these accidentally while we were shopping in Antwerp. What a luck haha.
A -not to miss trend- this coming season are the "Pied-de-Poule" prints! Think about jackets, scarves, skirts, handbags, sweaters, etc. and combine it with a simple black touch (don't make a colorparade with it). You also don't necessarily have to choose for a black and white print, you can go for any color you like as long you match it right with your outfit.
So play a little bit with this trend, because it's a musthave!
Because summer's almost over, I decided to do a blogpost about jackets. Which jackets can you expect in the stores this fall and winter and which do you have to pick? Choose for the oversized ones. Go for the lenght of a coat that stops in the middle of the knee ("the midi") and who have simple colors like grey/black/beige or with a minimalistic print. On top of the fact it's comfortable and warm, it is totally going to be a hit this fall / winter! Here are a few of my favorites.

This week I went to an exposition of dadaism & surrealism in "Mu.ZEE" at Ostend (Belgium). It was an exposition about Edouard Léon Théodore Mesens' life, a Belgian surrealist artist and writer who lived from 1903 till 1971. In the beginning of the museum there was a timeline with all the highlights of E.L.T Mesens life, really fun and interesting to read. The rest of the hall and floors were filled of popular E.L.T Mesens works and other artists who influenced him or worked with him like René Magritte, Man Ray, James Ensor, etc.. René Magritte and Man Ray were already one of my favorite surrealists so I was really excited when my dad brought me to this exposition!
Today I went to the restaurant with the family, just a casual dinner because we wanted to. The sun was still shining when we went out but there was a cool breeze, so I decided to wear light pants. I love these baggy ones I recently bought at H&M, they are comfortable and light!
Baleciaga's Fall/Winter collection 2013 is looking - as always - very modern, classy and splendid! The campaign pictures are already hitting the internet since the end of July. For me are the famous ankle boots and the lambskin Balenciaga classic city bags still the toppers, but yeah can't deny I'm a fan of the new collection. In a few campaign pictures you can see the bags Alexander Wang created for Balenciaga, think minimalistic and simple. The bags are called "Le dix", translated from French: "The ten" which refferes to the original Balenciaga salon in Paris (Avenue George V 10) and also to the fact that the collection is inspired on the period when mister Balenciaga had his first store in Paris. Can't wait for more!
Good news for my fellow Belgians right here, in October there is going to open a "Karl Lagerfeld concept store" on the Schuttershofstraat in Antwerp! The German Karl Lagerfeld known for his own line and of course as the main designer of Chanel has already one in Berlin, Paris and Amsterdam. The store will contain clothes, shoes, watches, juwerely, cosmetics, bags, etc., so -in my eyes- really something to look forward to.
Hey folks! Today I wore one of my favorite ZARA jackets which is a pink one with small white dots and a basic white blouse from H&M. It was good weather today so I went with the family to the beach and we lounged there for a while with some drinks, always fun! Seaside greetings.
Tomorrow I'll be visiting the seaside with the family for one week. It's going to be one of those weeks, where we'll just relax, sit on the beach, try out some local restaurants and walk along the pier.
I sincerely hope it's not going to be so cloudy as the weather forecast said, but on the other hand we've an indoor pool and sauna in the hotel so if we want we can swim there too. Right now everything is packed, so I'm ready to go!
Dior just leaked their campagne photo with with none other than the young, hot actor Robert Pattinson! As Dior posted this picture on Twitter with the following text "Live free, fast and strong. Robert Pattinson for Dior Homme Frangrance. Stay tuned... #DiorRob" we have to have a little more patience.. It's a cool, simple black and white picture where Robert Pattinson is actually chilled out on a roof in a tight suit. Can't wait for the actual fragrance, expecting something strong acttractive but still young, playfull.
Beyoncé known because of her great voice, beautiful shapes and wild, long curls. That last thing just changed yesterday, when Beyoncé posted a picture of her new hairstyle on instagram. It's short, daring and edgy! Am I a fan? To be honest, my favorite hairstyle of her are the long, messy curls but I quite like this change too. We only have to get used to it, right?
A trend which you can't help but notice this summer are the "Jelly sandals" in all sorts of colors. Already have seen a lot of these the last two months, so I decided to do a blogpost about it. The popular jelly sandals are not new, before used (especially by children) as a normal sandal made of rubber that could get wet without wrecking it. A totally 90s hit! My opinion about it? Well.. first I just saw it as a sandal for children, and didn't like it but now I'm getting a fan more and more! My favorite color are the black ones, because they are not so remarkable and easy to combine with a lot of outfits!
Today I'm wearing one of my favorite necklaces, it's a vintage red one from my mom. My dad bought this at a little amateur art shop 10 years ago and yes it's timeless! Thereafter is my outfit is basic and black, my shoes on the other hand are completely red too.
(And oh yeah if you've noticed my colorful nails, well my right hand is just basic dark brown and my other one is silver with a dark brown touch.. just testing out some stuff.. haha)

So pleased to announce I've new sneakers! Wanted new ones for a while though, but I kept delaying it.. (as usual) So this weekend I went to the city with one goal: to find the perfect casual sneakers.. and yes I found them!
It are Nike Stefan Janoskis who are entirely red with a gum, brown sole. Perfect to combine with a simple, basic outfit but also with a lot of other colors in the summer!
